Well Exams and Adult Physicals
Well Child Exams to assess growth and development are recommended at 2, 4, 6 and 9, 12, 18 months, 2 and 2-1/2 years and yearly starting at age 3.
Adults should have yearly physical exams starting at age 40. All sexually active women should have yearly exams.
Some insurance plans do not pay for Well Child Exams, immunizations or yearly physicals . Call your insurance company or benefits representative to check your specific plan benefits.
Exam, Immunization and Injection Charges
Some insurance plans do not pay for Well Child Exams or Immunizations.
The Health Department provides immunizations at a minimum charge. Your insurance company or benefit representative can advise you on whether immunizations are covered as a benefit.
An administration fee, in addition to the medication, is charged for each injection. Insurance companies that do not pay for vaccines, also do not pay for the administration fee.
